wah, its been forever since i last posted.. was in camp the whole week, attending Aviation Physiology Training, tml's the last day, wif a written test.. muahaha, my notes r still at aeromedical centre.. so no way of studyin. hehe
lotsa practicals happened during the wk, ermm. dun realli noe in which order, but i'll just list wad we did lah
there's the ejection seat trainer, where we're strapped into a seat and launched up a small dist to simulate ejecting, we'll experience 5G of forces and 300 jolts, which is (ms-3), erm.. the acceleration of acceleration, something lidat.. haha
then there's the vertifuge, which is tis cockpit which we sit in side, n they spin us ard, to demonstrate to us tat our human bodies' sense of direction is not to b trsuted.. which is really.. crazy lah.. we turn our head during the spinning and u can feel urself pitching up or spinning around.. after tis we're lyk giddy n slight headache for the day.. but its not as bad as the turntable. haha, sick man

also we've the decompression chamber, which is tis room where the air pressure can b changed, we lyk sit thru frm ground level up to 25,000 feet.. it was a cool experience man, lyk cos its rapid decompression at 10,000 ft to 25,000 ft, so we're told to breathe out during the decompression or face burst lungs *gasp.. anyway.. when they decompressed, there's lyk mist forming in the chamber then the air temp suddenly drop alot.. haha, and the air in ur lungs seem to keep expanding, then forever cannot breathe finish one.. hahaha, after tat we take off our oxygen masks and simulate hypoxia, then we'll do some simple math qns and stuff, and u'll b surprised how some of us can do simple math qns wrong.. haha..
another one was the somatogyral turntable, which was a smaller version of the vertifuge, and they spin us faster, n we turn our heads more, and get disorientated more.. haha, so it was more headache inducing n giddy inducing then the vertifuge.. sick man.. after tat almost died when i took a cab home. haha
